The castle constitutes the most significant element
in the image of "the City in the Sea", also denominated
as castle of the Pope Luna.
This castle is a strength located in the highest area
in the Crag on which the old city of Peñíscola is sustained.
The construction began in 1294 to image and likeness of the castles
